Residing in good company, situated as it is in close proximity to a cluster of other Luigi Rosselli Architects designed homes, and built in the late 1930s, internally this house holds a number of desirable Art Deco features; externally, however, its original façade was an austere pastiche of Scotland sur Med. Located on a hilltop, the home commands eagle's nest views of both the city and Sydney Harbour, but the trade-off for such blessed vistas is the steep sloping site the house is built on; an aspect that sadly became too difficult for the previous owner – a wine merchant and widower – who moved out in favour of somewhere with fewer stairs and gentler gradients.

The project is nestled within expansive woodlands in Chongzhou, Sichuan Province. This secluded retreat is disconnected from urban contexts, accessible solely through a single forest path. The architects have conceived the complex through an abstract settlement approach, where three distinct architectural scales - monumental pitched roofs, mid-scale geometric volumes, and clusters of compact functional units - are unified through an implicit structural logic.

In the heart of Salatiga, Selojene has designed Nusa Kitchen, a semi-open pavilion showcasing a bold reinterpretation of traditional terracotta tiles. Typically used as roofing material in tropical climates with high humidity, these tiles have been creatively repurposed as a building facade, enclosing the entire ground floor of the dining area. Spanning 1100m² over 2 floors, it is part of Bumi Kayom, a pioneering contemporary F&B complex in Salatiga. The building's bold appearance accommodates a fusion of Eastern and Western culinary traditions, offering an alternative dining atmosphere in this town of 200.000 people.

A Living House Inspired by the meaning of the Egyptian term per ankh, which can be translated as “house of life,” Casa Ankh aims to establish a coextension between body, environment, and everyday life. Located on a rural plot in the countryside of São Paulo, the house was conceived as a sensitive response to the surrounding natural context. Set on an extensive site with a pronounced slope, the residence engages in dialogue with the uneven topography and celebrates the mountainous landscape in the background, incorporating the presence of nature as a fundamental element of its architectural composition.

The new building, designed by Studio Gang, the international architecture and urban design firm led by Jeanne Gang, will provide students at the historically Black college with a cross-disciplinary and collaborative learning environment. Dedicated to the arts and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math), the Center will create new opportunities for women of African descent to excel in fields where they are often underrepresented. The Center is the first new academic facility at Spelman in nearly 25 years. It is also the first building located beyond the gates of Spelman's historic campus and establishes new connections between the College and the Westside Atlanta community.

We're in Conca D'Oro, a densely populated neighborhood in the northern stretch of Rome, beyond the Aniene River, a tributary of the Tiber. This part of the city saw intense urban growth in the post-war decades, an era that left its mark on the architecture still standing today. The home occupies a 1960s four-story building, with a brick-patterned façade and signature cruciform concrete pillars that anchor the prominent canopy of the first floor. It's a solid, rational structure, one that quietly wears its age.

At the Bruder Klaus Field Chapel, designed by Peter Zumthor, the construction process involved the direct participation of residents from the small Swiss village of Mechernich. Using an internal formwork made of vertically placed wooden logs, concrete was prepared in small batches and poured manually, day after day, forming layers marked by subtle variations in the mix and application. At the end of the process, the wooden structure was reduced to ashes, leaving the chapel's interior impregnated with traces of fire and revealing a dark, tactile surface. The result was a quiet and deeply meaningful space, where collective action, time, and material transformation became part of the architecture. Centered on locally available resources and manual techniques, this construction method highlights how the choice of materials and building system can shape the experience of a space, reveal the time invested, and embed the culture of a place into the very matter of architecture. In doing so, it offers an example of how construction itself can become a regenerative act, restoring meaning, connecting communities, and honoring material cycles.

OYO Architects, the architecture studio with offices in Ghent and Barcelona, led by Ferran Massip, Nigel Jooren, Eddy Soete, Veroniek Vanhaecke, and Lies Willaert, presents Lyco House. Located in the green countryside of Pepingen, less than 30 kilometres from Brussels, this project transforms an old barn into a contemporary and sustainable 312 m² home. The design stands out through a particular architectural intervention: a triangular cut in the original volume shapes an inner courtyard that floods the house with natural light, while generating a fluid transition to the outside.

Mute, a global manufacturer of adaptable architecture solutions for modern workplaces, has opened its new headquarters in the Ambassador office building in Warsaw, managed by Hines. Covering more than 840 m², it is the first office in Europe built entirely using a modular system — one that can be freely reconfigured without generating renovation waste or CO₂ emissions.

CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati, in collaboration with The Blossom Avenue Partners, has been announced as the winner of the international competition for the urban and architectural design of X-Change, a major multimodal logistics hub located on the site of a former railway yard in Alessandria, Italy. The project reimagines a traditionally introverted typology, rail distribution infrastructure by integrating logistics with energy production, ecological regeneration, and public life. Conceived as one of Southern Europe's largest intermodal hubs, X-Change is set to support Alessandria's evolving role as a backport to Genoa, leveraging future fast rail freight connections.

The proposal for the main headquarters of Dynafit in Kiefersfelden is integrated into its natural surroundings, in the Eno Valley, as a striking visual landmark; a volume composed of the fusion of two pyramidal bodies, visible from the highway connecting Germany and Austria, aiming to become part of the landscape that defines the valley.

The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York is hosting an exhibition dedicated to Japanese architect Kisho Kurokawa's Nakagin Capsule Tower from July 10, 2025, through July 12, 2026. Titled The Many Lives of the Nakagin Capsule Tower, the exhibition offers a retrospective on the building's 50-year lifespan. Constructed in Tokyo's Ginza district in 1972 and dismantled in 2022, the tower is presented through contextual materials, original drawings, archival recordings, and a fully restored capsule. The exhibition invites reflection on how cities address aging buildings and the rapid transformation of urban areas. The diverse materials documenting the tower's continuous evolution over five decades encourage viewers to consider how architecture might endure by taking on new roles and functions beyond its original purpose.

The built environment is expected to reduce carbon emissions, support biodiversity, and respond to changing ecological conditions, all while providing housing for communities and reflecting their cultural values. In this shifting landscape, a once-maligned architectural style emerges in a surprising new form. Brutalism, long associated with institutional gravitas and material austerity, is now being reframed through an ecological lens. This hybrid movement, known as eco-brutalism, combines the power of concrete with greenery and climate-sensitive design strategies. The result is a set of spaces that are visually arresting, conceptually complex, and increasingly popular among designers, urban planners, and the general public.

Offering a path toward resilience and food security in the alluvial plains of Lake Titicaca, the Waru Waru agricultural fields are spread across the Peruvian highlands and constitute an ancient agricultural system. Connecting an ancestral legacy with modern concerns about water and food security, climate resilience, and sustainable land management, these agricultural systems open the debate about efficient water management and the importance of agricultural biodiversity. At the same time, they are part of the sense of identity and pride of the local Aymara community, consolidating cultural knowledge that is passed down and preserved across generations.

Soul House is a refuge nestled in the heart of the Mindo Valley, grounded in the atmospheric and material conditions of its surroundings, as well as the symbolic world its inhabitants have shaped to narrate their lives. Geometry is employed to order every element, inside and out, proposing a microcosm articulated as an opaque interior, veiled from the exterior. Symmetrical in both axes, the house envisions a duality between body and atmosphere, matter and mood.

Covering 3,500 square meters, the pavilion offers visitors a unique architectural and exhibition experience, showcasing the country’s innovation, culture, and productive activity. Over six months, companies, regional authorities, and other institutions will use their spaces for meetings, presentations, and forums. In this way, architecture becomes a strategic tool for international visibility.

These are the names of rooms that have been frequently seen in the village activity center recently.Village activity centers are public service facilities set up in villages to enrich and enhance the cultural and recreational lives of villagers.This approach of referring to the centralized setting of spaces and venues in urban communities is usually based on village collective assets, sometimes a compound, sometimes an office building. Although it may not be attractive in appearance, it can often be used to allocate the functional uses of rooms according to external environmental requirements and village collective needs, making it quite practical.

Haksanjae is a private library designed to accommodate approximately 10,000 volumes. In addition to the collection space, it includes a workspace for writing and lecturing, as well as a modest residential component for occasional stays. The client, a former university professor of history, sought a space in which to house an extensive personal book collection following retirement.

Located on a narrow urban lot measuring 5 by 31 meters, the existing house was in a state of structural neglect, with collapsed roofs and overgrown vegetation. Rather than demolishthe house, the architects proposed a minimal and respectful strategy: conserve the historic masonry walls, introduce light through patios and skylights, and organize the home into six distinct volumes—three covered and three open. This layout generates visual transparency, cross-ventilation, and a seamless indoor-outdoor experience.

Design through Finding: three new spaces in MD Anderson Hall — Rice University School of Architecture commissioned Kwong Von Glinow to design three new spaces within MD Anderson Hall: a Welcome Center, a Student and Community Forum, and a Faculty & Staff Lounge. These new spaces are located along the school's central axis. Our design process began with a deep dive into the building's history to understand the original 1947 building by Staub and Rather and the subsequent 1981 addition by James Stirling and Michael Wilford.  One of the texts mentioned Philip Johnson's observation of the James Stirling addition: "I came to see Jim's building but couldn't find it." (Cite Fall 1992-Winter 1993) This notion of  "finding" space became integral to our design approach.
